Chapter 3: The Education Begins
The Law of Cause and Effect is timeless. LIKE causes ALWAYS produce their corresponding effects.
You don’t need to be an expert to begin using these principles and methods to get amazing results (just
like you don’t need to be a mechanic to drive a car; or be a programmer to work a computer). In other
words, suffice it to say that you don’t need to know all the reasons why it works, it just does. Granted,
I will provide enough rationale to put your doubting mind at ease and get you going towards your rich,
happy life; but today’s lessons will not contain a lot of scientific theory, philosophy, quantum physics,
and metaphysics – the things that are automatically and continuously going on “behind the scenes” on
your behalf. It works out perfectly without prejudice – ALL THE TIME. If you follow my directions
to the letter, with no deviations, you will enjoy the inevitable and massive success that results from
following Universal Laws - failure is impossible!
A good place to begin is explaining why everyone should be rich. You have the Right To Be Rich. Drop
any hang-ups you may have about being wealthy. Being rich is not a sin and adopting a vow of poverty
doesn’t guarantee you entrance into heaven. The fact is that no one can live a full, happy, and
successful life without being rich. Let me tell you why. (By the way, when I say “he” or “his” I mean
both genders).
The goal of all living things is development. Every living thing has the right to fulfill its greatest
potential. All men have this same right. But no one can realize his full potential in any area of life
without using many things.
EVERY pursuit in life requires the use of things. Everyone (i.e., musicians, doctors, teachers, athletes,
ministers, etc.) and every vocation require things to succeed.
To enjoy recreational activities, you need things. Even the development of the mind and soul requires
the use of things. These things cost money. Therefore, to develop any aspect of your life, you need
money to buy those things. In short, by simply being alive, you and everyone on the planet have the
Right To Be Rich. Furthermore, no one should settle for less when they are capable of being, doing,
having, and enjoying more.
There is nothing wrong in wanting to be rich. It’s normal for any person to desire more in life. It’s as
natural as a seed wanting to sprout and grow. It’s life seeking full expression. So, if you have any
hang-ups about being rich, consider them pure and utter nonsense. The greatest joy in life is the
realization of all you can be.
That blissful state of affairs can only be manifested by using many things. In your quest to “become
your own hero” you have to be rich enough to buy those things.
The person who doesn’t want to be all, have all, and do all that he is capable of is not normal. That kind
of person possesses limited thinking based on false, “anti-life” beliefs (e.g., poverty, limited resources,
and competition).
Plainly, you can see that the unlimited use of the things necessary for living life to its fullest is
everyone’s innate right - in other words, everyone has the Right To Be Rich. Today, I won’t talk about
wealth figuratively. Being rich doesn’t mean “acquiescing to fate;” telling yourself that you might as
well be happy with your lot in life because “that’s all there is, so you’d better be content and satisfied
with it.” That’s total rubbish. Life is about abundance, not scarcity!
We have three strong drives in life that are devoted to developing the body, mind, and soul. Diverting all
your attention to only one of these areas and neglecting the other two is a recipe for unhappiness. No
one area of life is more important or nobler than the other two; all are equally vital to live a full life.
Over indulgence in food and drink, drug abuse, or the search for ever-increasing sexual intrigue to the
exclusion of activities geared toward enhancing the mind and soul is the cause for many lives cut short.
No one is ever truly happy unless body, mind, and soul are fully expressed. All three require many
things to be exercised, fed, and rested sufficiently.
The body needs activity to stay healthy. In today’s modern world, many people stay physically fit by
joining fitness centers, playing sports (e.g., tennis, golf, cricket, badminton, or swimming) at country
clubs, running 10K’s or marathons, or by using home exercise equipment. The memberships to these
places, exercise equipment, running shoes, and other sports paraphernalia costs money.
Additionally, the body also needs enough good, nutritious food for optimum fitness.
Oftentimes, the most fresh and nutritious food costs more than the average, “high fat, high calorie, and
low nutrition” frozen, canned, or fast food.
The mind needs continual stimulation and constant learning to stay sharp and grow. This keeps a man
motivated; preventing mental lethargy, geriatric memory loss, and depressing ennui. Books, magazines,
newspapers, the internet, and traditional university study enriches the mind. These resources are not
free and sometimes – in the case of college educations – cost tens of thousands of dollars.
Being loved and expressing love nourishes the soul. A man’s greatest happiness comes when he can
provide for his loved ones. Love is spontaneous and naturally giving. Giving benefits and gifts freely to
the ones you love creates immense joy.
Poverty prevents this expression of love and causes much sadness.
A man may feel inferior or “not quite a man” if he can not do these things for the most important people
in his life.
Clearly, then, it’s in the acquiring and use of material things that brings full life to the body, grows the
mind, and develops the soul. That is why everyone should strive to be rich.
J.C., if this doesn’t make sense to you; if you don’t think you have the Right To Be Rich; or if you have
too many hang-ups about money (e.g., fear, guilt, and worry), I can’t help you. But if you’re okay with
being wealthy, I mean really okay within your whole being; I can teach you the Science of Getting Rich.”
Deep down, everything Yu said made sense to me. Somehow, I just knew that everything I heard was
the real TRUTH and it was stirring up feelings of hope and excitement in my soul. Feeling this way, I
must’ve had a fierce look in my eyes when I looked at him and said, “Come on! I’m ready, my friend.
Keep talking ‘cause I’m listening to every word you are saying.”
